The Cheyenne Depot Museum is easy to find! Set in the heart of Cheyenne, it's at the opposite end of Capitol Avenue from the Wyoming State Capitol.

In fact, it's no coincidence the buildings are facing each other ... downtown Cheyenne was designed in the late 19th Century so lawmakers could keep an eye on the railroad, and vice versa! You can learn more about how the railroad built Cheyenne by visiting our History page.

Cheyenne is an easy city to navigate. To get downtown, you can either take the Lincolnway Exit on I-25 and head east, or take the Central/Warren Exit on I-80 and head north. Here's a map on Mapquest!

A number of beautiful and historic hotels dot the city for your stay, such as the Historic Plains Hotel, Little America and the Hitching Post. There are many new and several newly remodeled hotels in town as well, ranging from single rooms to luxurious suites.
